OUTCOMES OF MBJ CENTRAL PTA EXCO MEETING

The Central PTA Executive and the school management team had their meeting on Saturday, 29th January 2022. Some key outcomes from the meeting:

1. AWARD OF ACADEMIC/MORAL EXCELLENCE DAY

This award day remains Sunday 6th February 2022  @10am in the school compound. It also doubles as the visiting day for the month of February.

Parents are allowed to bring lunch to be consumed at the arena. Please be *simple and moderate in the food you bring.

The award is for UB1 to SS3 students in school based on their first term results.
The award does not concern the outgone SS3 students.

The PTA accepted to fund the award day celebration. We thank the Chairman and his Executive members for this kind gesture.

2. PENDING WAEC SCIENCE RESULT
The WAEC panel set up to review complaints on pending results met from 27th to 29th January. Their report has been forwarded to the examination body for possible implementation. The affected students and parents are called upon to exercise more patience. The January deadline earlier given by the exam body may not be met. It’s a call for patience. As soon as WAEC releases the outcome of their meeting, the affected students and their parents will be communicated.

3. SECURITY
The Central PTA Executive members approved funds to beef up security in the school, and around the Okigwe, Ihube, Uturu axis. We appreciate the Central PTA Executives for their support in tackling the issue of security which is a concern to all our Marist stakeholders.

4. GENERAL PTA MEETING
MBJ General PTA meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, 14th May 2022 in the school compound.

However, parents and guardians are encouraged to contact their zonal PTA chairpersons and members of the school management team to lodge their complaints, concerns, and suggestions. Some contact numbers were sent out in the last mid-term break circular. You must not wait for a general meeting before your issues are addressed. Our doors are open for suggestions and constructive criticisms.

5. APPRECIATION TO PORT-HARCOURT AND ENUGU ZONES

We appreciate these two zones for sponsoring the award day/Entrance Exam jingle on radio stations in their states. We still call on other zones to partner with the school in this regard.

May we reassure you that your children are doing well. With a more revived and charged academic atmosphere. The weak ones are given more strategic attention to improve, while the stronger ones are challenged to continue soaring higher.

May God guide, protect, and provide for you and your families.

We leave you in the hands of JMJCH.

Signed:

Mgt, MBJ, Uturu.
